BOCES Model Schools has experienced teachers and staff developers who are well versed in how to integrate technology into your classroom and use technology tools to better differentiate learning for your students.


Jaclyn Ellefsen has been with the Model Schools team for the past four years in her role as a Technology Integration Specialist, and has over six years of teaching experience in the classroom as a Secondary Social Studies teacher. She has a Master's degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom and has extensive training and experience in managing and integrating a variety of educational software and Web 2.0 tools. These engaging resources include Google Apps for Education, NovaNet/GradPoint, Naviance, My Learning Plan, Moodle, Edmodo, Interactive whiteboards, Prezi, mobile devices and more. Jaclyn has presented at the New York State and Hudson Valley NYSCATE conferences, is the co-chair of the Orange-Ulster BOCES Technology Committee and the Site Coordinator and Teacher of Record for Virtual High School. Her goal as a Technology Integration Specialist is to connect students and educators in becoming leaders and productive digital citizens using technology to learn, collaborate and innovate.

Christine Dworetsky has over 12 years of experience in the classroom as a Middle School Math teacher.  She has a Master's degree in Instructional Technology, and is well-versed in a variety of Web 2.0 tools, including, but not limited to, Edmodo, Schoology, Animoto, Educreations, Zooburst, and many more.  Christine has assisted in planning several distance learning sessions, and taken virtual trips across the country to multiple museums and locations with a variety of classes. She has trained teachers on SMART Technologies, mobile devices, Google Apps for Education, tools for Data Driven Instruction, blogging in the classroom, and much more. Like Jaclyn, Christine is also trained as a Site Coordinator and a Teacher of Record for Virtual High School.  This year, she hopes to keep up with the ever- changing technologies to assist more teachers and students in becoming lifelong learners by successfully using technology in the classroom.
